Mission Statement
The Rope is a ministry fully dedicated to rethinking the way we approach missions—how we send, support, and prepare missionaries for service and retirement. We believe this is not because the Church lacks the right heart or passion for missions, but because there are many biblical tools that can strengthen and improve the way we fulfill the Great Commission.
Our approach is not based on a modern missions model. It is rooted in Scripture and seeks to rediscover biblical principles for missions that have always been available to the Church.
Our mission for this journey is to demonstrate the three different time frames in which believers can faithfully serve in missions:
Short-term missions
Mid-term missions
Long-term missions
As Scripture reminds us:
"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." — 1 Timothy 4:12 (KJV)
We believe every believer can set an example by serving God, regardless of the length of their commitment. Through this project, we will personally experience these different models of missions while creating videos, articles, and other content to share across multiple platforms.
Our goal is to encourage churches and individuals to become actively involved in missions—whether through short-term trips, mid-term service, or long-term ministry. Every form of faithful service has a place in God's mission.
As part of this initiative, we intend to spend three months-one year serving in another country alongside a ministry, helping it establish and strengthen its work while documenting the entire journey. By sharing both the victories and the challenges, we hope to inspire others to see that there is more than one way to answer God's call to missions.
At The Rope, we are committed to equipping believers, encouraging churches, and demonstrating that biblical missions is accessible to those willing to go, serve, support, and faithfully follow where God leads.
